Damage Line-By-Line

Hello, Welcome!

We recently completed the Enterprise Incident thread in the ENT forum!

For any unfamiliar with our "game," you are asked to post only a single line (defined as one character speaking without interruption by another character) per message. You can post as often as you like, but someone else must post a line in between your posts.

Our "rule" is that if the episode has a "To Be Continued..." on the end, it is done in a single thread, but if it's just an arc of related episodes (like the Dominion Occupation Arc on DS9 or the Xindi Arc on ENT), each episode is a separate thread.

Get ready for a story, here we go!

T'POL: (remembering the insane Vulcans) This is going to happen to me. It's already started. I can feel my control slipping away!

ARCHER [Situation room]: We're talking about a one-way trip.

(An Insectoid shuttle launches and dives into the ocean.)
ARCHER: [OC] I'll be flying the mission. I won't order anyone else to die.
ARCHER [Reptilian Brig]: (to Degra) You know about the Spheres. They were constructed by trans-dimensional beings. Their purpose is to reconfigure the Expanse to make it habitable for their species. That's what destroys the Xindi, not humanity.

 

[sekundant]

REPTILIAN: We know exactly where your ship is.
(Enterprise is under attack, with holes in the hull and bodies floating out.)

 

[May 20]

[Bridge]

REED: Another breach on C deck, E deck's depressurizing. We can't take much more of this.
(the shaking and jolting stops, it goes very quiet)
REED: They've ceased firing. They're moving off, back into the system.

T'POL: Ensign, get us out of here.

 

[May 20]

TRAVIS: Thrusters are down. I don't think we're going anywhere.

 

[sekundant]

[Degra's ship]

REPTILIAN: You had no right to recall my ships.

 

[May 20]

DEGRA: And you had no authorization to launch an attack.

 

[Hopeful Romantic]

REPTILIAN: The humans should have been destroyed the moment they were detected.

[Apologies for my part in the mix-up about follow-up episodes, y'all. Glad we are continuing the storyline with "Damage."]

 

[sekundant]

HUMANOID: The Council doesn't agree.

REPTILIAN: You're permitting an enemy vessel to remain in orbit near a military installation!

 

[May 20]

DEGRA: Their ship is critically damaged. They no longer pose a threat.

 

[sekundant]

REPTILIAN: Thanks to an attack that you opposed. At the very least, we should board their vessel and take them prisoner.

 

[May 20]

ARBOREAL: It is being considered.

HUMANOID: On the subject of prisoners, the Council wants Archer for further interrogation.

REPTILIAN: We're not finished with him!
