Dalek!

I know, it's not trek, but this is what I've been working on. :) It's a homemade Dalek, built out of a trashcan, clothes hampers, plastic bowls, and other junk. :)

He's got a built in speaker, which controls the lights on his head, also. I can hook him up to any audio source, too... for the test video, he was just hooked to my computer. I'm also going to have a Microphone hooked up to him during our Halloween Party, using MorphVox to distort the voices.

What do y'all think? :)

I daresay it looks better than the current batch of "Paradigm" Daleks Moffatt introduced in "Victory of the Daleks".

Sincerely,

Bill

Now all you need is a mock-up of Davros from "Genesis of the Daleks".

That fan in the bg made me wonder if this bad boy wasn't too hot to handle...

Cute!

Someone should make a STAR TREK fan film crossover adventure where Doctor Who and the Daleks enter from a parallel universe and its up to the Doctor to work with Starfleet to repel the invasion. Too bad EXETER is stalled. This would be a perfect adventure for them! It would also be interesting to see TOS-era characters exploring the TARDIS.

Hehe, thanks guys. :)

It should be a good time tonight... I have a stargate set up as a projector screen, and I'll be going as a Vulcan, so we'll have plenty of sci-fi variety. I'll post some more pics later on. :)

Here's your backstory. A steampunk Dalek built by a Kaled mutant that escaped from its old shell. Now the word is that while Terry Nation came up with the Dalek concept, another artist (whose name I forget) actually designed it.

I think the inspiration might have subconsciously been the launch of Sputnik III.

Do a search on that and you will see how Dalek like it is. I think it found its way into collective memory.

Ray Cusick, the man who actually visualized the Daleks and gave them their iconic shape was Ray Cusick. about the the only description Terry Nation provided was that he wanted them to "glide" across the floor in a fashion to the Georgian State dancers he had seen.

Sincerely,

Bill
