Cybermen vs the Land of Fiction should have been a slaughter!

The recent audio trilogy culminating with the 6th doctor and Jamie getting inbetween the Cybermen and their conquest of the Land of fiction seemed, if you'll pardon the pun, a little unreal because of the notable absence of the one character who would have made the Cybermen stop in their tracks and issue surrender...

King Midas.

I liked the story, and considering who the architect of the current rendition of the land of fiction was, we may excuse her for not have a complete list of players she could game against the Cybermen, but COME ON!

No one ever even thought to take refuge at the gates of El Dorado or the bowels of King Solomon's Mines! Then of course if I want to entirely camp it up: What about Goldfinger? Or GoldMEMBER!?

By the way, did it seem to anyone else that Oliver Twist and the Artful Dodger were a touch gay for each other I ask sincerely?

Well that weakness wasn't introduced until the 70s, and it was almost a phobia by the 80s variants.

It might not have been an issue for the 60s version (As heard in the play) or known to their enemy.

Story reminded me a bit of South Park's Imagination Land Trilogy.
