Crucial TOS reference in TrekXI *Possible/Probable Spoilers*

Beauregard should be in this film. If JJ Abrahms had half a mind, he would realise that this has to happen for Trek XI to be a success.

This film will not be a true tribute to the Great Bird if it doesn't include our favourite plant.

Especially if Rand and Sulu are in the cast.

Sulu knew that Beauregard is a "he" plant. He just didn't want to Rand to know the benefits of having a plant that looks like a furry hand.

No Beaurigarde=Flop!!

A far more appropriate tribute to The Great Bird would be the inclusion of those flying pancake things.

What? I'm not getting a connection here. Couldn't you just name the first redshirt "Gene", and have him played by some third cousin, and be done with it? Why go for obscure stuff? Knock 'em over the head with it -- maybe this redshirt could be a "journalist" as well.

How about having Rod Roddenberry in a rôle as Crewman 4th Class Junior Grade Rod "Hot Rod" N. April, janitor extraordinaire, who we'd see cleaning a latrine... it's about TIME we saw a latrine in TOS, they've been holding it for about 41 years donchaknow.

Kirk is on a toilet in Star Trek 5. That's the only time I can recall seeing a Starfleet toilet, and it was a prison one.
