Create a SciFi Reality Show!

How about a mock-reality TV show similar to the Russian/ESA Mars 500-day experiment?

Similar to another idea I had for a reality TV series about Flashline Mars Arctic Research Station but instead make it a mockmentary series on a mock deepspace ship OR a moon base with actors improv'ing. They would have to live together for 120 days. Similar to big brother style.
Of course a designed spaceship living biosphere would have to be constructed.
It would be on a set and 360 degree screens around would show a CGI changing sun and view depending on time of day/date/month. A realistic sim.
Yes it would be high budget but make it with scientists partnered with ESA or NASA & Discovery Studios. Put it on the Science channel.
or if a mockumentary put it on SyFy channel and only for dramatic purposes and the actors go home every 48 hours. Similar to firemen schedules.

I hate to admit it but if they did a celeb talent/game show with washed-up sci-fi stars I'd probably watch.

All these actors who couldn't find work will come together and produce a scifi miniseries. They would fight over the plot, their roles and the fate of their characters. After every episode, we see the actual episode of their scifi show.
Yea, that'd probably be the best, get a group of Writers, Directors, Producers, etc, and mate them up like the cooking shows' group challenges or the fashion show that mates up models with Designers. Maybe the producer folks would pick their teams back and forth.

Once the teams are assembled, we follow the Drama weekly as they make their Pilots. Wininng team gets their Pilot aired and gets a guranteed budget for S1 of their show.

There was, in my opinion great, british reality show called "Space cadets". It involved really elaborate space shuttle set and old abandoned british military space set up as active russian space port.

It was kind of Big Brother-style setting with livefeeds from shuttle and base, but no one got kicked out of airlock. And it only lasted about a week.

Surprisingly contestants claimed to have believed that they actually flew to space.

Dont know if it would work in USA. I guess it might..

Why not? We have at least as many idiots in America...

Take a page out of the WWE and create a sport.

Use the BSG sport Pyramid.

Set up a dozen teams, each coached by former Sci-Fi or Fantasy TV stars. Fill the team with athletes and sci-fi actors. Let them play, and let there be some drama between coaches, etc.

For instance Dirk Benedict can be a coach, and whine that in his series the game was called Triad.

This looks like fun actually. I watched the reveal on youtube:

. I think if they shot it over 90 days instead of say 30 we would get a more social experiment and docudrama.

This also seems cool :

I would watch the frak out of a show like that. Even if the winning show is a train wreck, the process would be entertaining.

Or they could use the NASA Aquarius Reef Base in the FLorida Keys and use some real footage like this video mixed with a mock-reality location show?
