I'll begin with one I just thought up.
The Doctor is trapped inside an alien TV show.
Yes I know the show we love which has been on our screens for many years since 1963.
But I have a really wild theory that the people and aliens we have been watching are trapped inside a TV show, and know that they are trapped inside a TV show for the amusement of other beings. That's the reason the Daleks never manage to outright kill the Doctor or take over the universe or any of the bad guys for that matter, they know they might be back the next episode so they don't go all out with their schemes and plans.
Occasionally you'll see someone give a wink or nod to the camera that they know this fact but they are trapped and it's really a cry for help for someone to rescue them all.
