For about two seconds, I completely misread the thread title and thought this was about the movie "Cowboys for Christ."
I am bitterly disappointed and have made tentative plans to cry myself to sleep while cutting myself with a lawn mower.
Also, the Cowboys/Aliens thing sounds intriguing.

From the description, it's another no-brainer action pic with nothing deep or meaningful to say. How anyone could prefer this to Serenity is beyond me...

The end result is what matters, and thus far I trust Favreau to deliver a solid picture, and I trust Downey to not be involved with movies that suck ass. We'll have to see.
I would have thought you would prefer to see a movie that you have so much in common with.
Serenity was great. Hopefully this will be, too.

Comic books may not be selling well these days but they seem a great vehicle to use to get a TV/Movie deal.
The funny thing is the idea (on the surface) doesn't sound much different than a Sci-Fi Original other than the fact some effort will be put into it. I saw James Marsters fighting aliens in the old west last weekend.

Well, I could have just told him that I thought Serenity was a steaming piece of shit but that would have been going further off topic and this felt more entertaining to me.
