Cowboys and Aliens

For about two seconds, I completely misread the thread title and thought this was about the movie "Cowboys for Christ."

I am bitterly disappointed and have made tentative plans to cry myself to sleep while cutting myself with a lawn mower.

Also, the Cowboys/Aliens thing sounds intriguing.

Sounds like fun-and More Robert Downey Jr. is always a good thing(unless he's in your child's bed!)

Unless your child is 18 and he intends to shower wealth and pre-release screenings on his new extended family. :)

Or unless I am my own child. ;)

Which shouldn't be all that difficult. Just need to figure out which method would work better - time travel or cloning.

Oh yeah...seven writers or writing teams just SCREAMS "great movie" to me...

From the description, it's another no-brainer action pic with nothing deep or meaningful to say. How anyone could prefer this to Serenity is beyond me...

The end result is what matters, and thus far I trust Favreau to deliver a solid picture, and I trust Downey to not be involved with movies that suck ass. We'll have to see.

I would have thought you would prefer to see a movie that you have so much in common with.

Q: That wasn't really necessary, was it Ford, the whole getting personal part?

A: No, it wasn't

Comic books may not be selling well these days but they seem a great vehicle to use to get a TV/Movie deal.

The funny thing is the idea (on the surface) doesn't sound much different than a Sci-Fi Original other than the fact some effort will be put into it. I saw James Marsters fighting aliens in the old west last weekend.:)

Well, I could have just told him that I thought Serenity was a steaming piece of shit but that would have been going further off topic and this felt more entertaining to me.

So yes, yes it was. :)

What none of them mentions is that it was all inspired by a Far Side cartoon. I guess they don't want to have to pay Gary Larson. ;)

Cool, you basically admitted to trolling. So, you're getting an infraction for it. Comments to PM.

So wait, wasn't this an episode of Enterprise? Why don't they just bring back Captain Archer in a cowboy hat?
