Couldn't Voyager have made "currency/bartar" as a Holo-Brothel?

Quark ran a holobrothel.

Seemed like a nice place.

Their worst problem was that they were seen as panhandling hobo's or a pinyata full of technology and super weapons one good bash away from bursting.

Surely fulfilling deviant fetishes in return for safe passage and protection from dozens of specie simultaneously would make the ship safe as houses without altering the balance of power.

I usually know it's Guy if I don't understand the title, and then I go inside and it makes perfect sense.


I'm sure they had holodeck brothels, just ones that you never saw on screen, or heard about, thanks to UPN's censors. I bet Tom wrote a few holoporns before he and B'Elanna got serious. And I'm sure they were distributed among the crew at times. Wouldn't that count as a brothel?

I can totally see Janeway as a madam. And since this is the equal-opportunity 24th century, Harry would finally get some action, even if he had to be ordered to!

Why did Harry accept rejection from that Holo-wind-surfing-instructor when he could have just insisted that she was in like with him after tweaking her program, you know except that then it would be even less real because he had to force himself on her (like Janeway did with that bartender) where upon Kim would have cottoned on to the fact that she wasn't a hologram at all but just a spy.

I think it would matter who was writing her that week. Like if Jeri Taylor wrote her that week, then yes she would have a problem.
Joe Menosky, Braga, or Bryan Fuller probably not.

Let's face it. Holodecks were only invented by a bunch of Starfleet nerds so they could score with women. I'm sure once we see the holodeck controls in high def, you'll see that one of the buttons is "rinse cycle".
Thus I am 100% sure that the Prime Directive specifically allows selling Holodeck time to alien races for sexy misadventures.
