Trek2009 - Nero is a clone of Spock created by the Romulans! (ok, its a stretch but hey)

Nemesis - Shinzon starts out in a Reman mine/prison.
Trek2009 - Nero starts out in the klingon prison.

Nemesis - Shinzon and his minons create a super bad-ass ship without the federation knowing about it.
Trek2009 - Nero and his minons either find or create a super bad-ass ship that I would guess the 24th century Federation did not know about.

Nemesis - Shinzon attempts to destroy Picards home planet Earth.
Trek2009 - Nero attempts to destroy Spocks home planet Vulcan.
