Heads-up: this ties very mildly into Picard material, but no spoilers (or even mentions other than this one)
So here I am, reading through some Wiki entries, and a thought struck me, and while I have lots of crazy, off-the-wall theories about everything, this one actually has traction, when you think about it.
So I am writing an entry for Aegis and their supervisors (like Gary 7) for my homebrew stuff, and how those supervisors stick close to certain important people, just to make sure "history happens the way it should". And then I thought about Lily Sloan (StarTrek: First Contact), and how she fits that bill. In fact, one wonders how Zefram Cochrane would have gotten anything done if she wasn't around. And then I think of how she was aboard the Enterprise - she was not only way too calm about her situation, she just rolled with it, and tried to take the situation over by taking Picard hostage...not the kind of thing most normal folks would do when confronted with 'alien space men' and super-advanced technology. I almost expected her to say, "The Borg? Here? NOW? What have you done!" I just think she was way too much 'together' to be fawning over an old drunk with crazy delusions of grandeur (although technically he was only 31, IIRC - alcohol has terrible effects on a person LOL).
