Could Family Guy: The Wrath of Khan happen now?

A few months ago it was rumored that Family Guy may go the Star Wars parody route with The Wrath of Khan, but they decided against it because they weren't sure it'd be a popular episode. With Trek XI doing well in theatres do you think they could now do it and it would be a success?

Well, they recently did an episode that parodied the Genesis Cave scene in TWOK, with Brian in place of Kirk and that Lauren Conrad chick from The Hills as Carol Marcus. It was pretty awesome.

I thought it was hilarious that they just copied the dialogue word-for-word.

Okay then. How would this work? So we got Peter Griffin as Kirk. Meg as Carol. Chris as his son, David. Brian as Spock?

Carol would be Lois. Meg probably would be more likely for Saavik.

That said they have done so many TWOK parodies recently they are probably not considering a whole episode. TWOK is a great movie but is not quite as iconic and recognisable as the Star Wars movies.

Yeah, sorry. I typed Meg but was thinking of Lois. I agree actually. 100% of the audience got Blue Harvest. Star Wars is that recognized.

How could I have forgotten her name was Lois... sheesh! You'd have thought her "Fabulous Baker Boys" bit from last night's episode would've had some impact on me.

When an episode of Family Guy all of a sudden starts copying a scene from a Star Trek movie (quite literally, mind you; they even end up in the Genesis Cave!), I think it's awesome.

Well maybe Quagmire would be Sulu, I can sort of see him making jokes about the big warp speed throttle they had in the first few movies? I see Cleveland as Scotty. Chekhov is a tough one, maybe Jo who gets crippled by the Eel?

I think Mr. Pewtersmitch would make a better Khan, seeing as how he hates Peter.

There is no question that the Centi worm HAS to be Bruce.

"Hey there, how y'alls doin? I'm bout to slide on in to y'alls ear, wrap myself around your cerebral cortex. I like wrapping myself around stems."

Then when he falls out of Quagmire's ear and Peter shoots him, he'll go "Oh noez!"

I completely forgot about Saavik.
