Cosplay for kids

Can anyone point me at a good resource for assembling a convincing Dr Who costume for a seven year old? World Book day is closer than it seems and without any encouragement from me, the little one has chosen Tennant. While not strictly a literary character, all the snipes turn up as iron man or as a Frozen princess, so I can hardly say no.

Most Google searches result in doctor costumes of the medical variety.

At a basic level, just this in kids sizes. It should be fairly simple really. Pick the blue or brown suit, I'd expect blue would be easier to find. The conserve all-stars are an important detail. You should be able to find a coat, I've seen kids at conventions with them. Also don't forget the sonic screwdriver and maybe a detail like the brainy specs or 3D glasses.

Now if you want to go into deep detail, sources like The RPF should be helpful. A lot of the posters make costumes and props for their kids and make threads for it.

Perfect, thank you. You've introduced me to a whole new online community.

I've found an affordable blue suit online, and a sonic. I was thinking about the 3d specs last night, wondering if I should order some just to watch Doomsday with.

The hard part will be the overcoat. I may have to make one from scratch, which I've never tried before, but its high time I visited the haberdashery in town.

Cheers.
