I just saw the new fantasy movie and it's great. It's sort of like Alice in Wonderland. The director of The Nightmare Before Christmas worked on it and that was one of my favorite movies.

The first part of the movie is the main character Coraline dealing with her new life after moving at a apartment complex with her parents. I liked the characters aren't perfect. Coraline is a bit of brat and her parents leave her alone too much.
Once Coraline goes through the door into the other world however things really pick it. The people from behind the door that look like the people Coraline knows are very creepy especially the way their eyes are done. It's very imaginative. It's cool seeing Coraline face off against all the dark characters.
All the voice actors are great especially Dakota Fanning who plays the title character.
For a kid's movie there are lots of dark and intense moments. I didn't know that the movie was based on a book by Neil Gaiman and I'm already a big fan of his Sandman series. Go check it out of you liked The Nightmare Before Christmas or a good adventure story.
