Cool to have a sound card as flash drive

Rarely look at audio cards had to buy one audio channels starting to die.

Yeah, Turtle Beach makes a nice one. Just grabbed one for a friend as her notebook internal sound was croaking, and motherboard replacement wasn't possible due to the cost.

USB audio is cheap and convenient, but it lacks it's own sound processing hardware, instead relying on the computer's CPU to do that work, and this method does produce inferior sound as well as tying up some system resources.

Of course, most cheap sound cards are like that. Only the very expensive ones have true on-card sound processing capabilities.
