After leaving the theatre, I honestly couldn't remember any of it at all, aside from the familiar theme at the end.

I have to disagree. The deep bass that played whenever the Narada was shown (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jzd18uy0IF0 at 0:46) was one of the best parts of the movie. It really helped set the tempo for the opening scene.
