I thought I would save the admins and mods time by just making this science and technology post here, preemptively before the local yokels say "what does an improvement in Gui technology have to do with a sci and tech forum?"

Behold I bring to you desktop replacement: real desktop
and a shell replacement: cairo

Cairo Milestone 1 Testing Delayed

Testers will receive download instructions when available.

This first alpha will be a private test only and will not be available to the public. If this is your first visit to our website, Cairo is in the early stages of development for Windows Vista. Windows XP support will come once Vista compatibility is complete.
