Cool bands from 1990-ish forward.

Ozric Tentacles is cool as hell. Ok, their 1st record actually came out in 89, well I did say 1990-ish.

Depends on what one person calls cool with another, as we all have different taste in music.

With that band, I've never heard of them.

They are an English psychedelic instrumental band. 89 was their first label release, but I remember there were tapes and stuff floating around at school before that.

They've had about a billion members as well, I know 2 people that have toured with them myself.

Knew a couple Tentacles eh? That's pretty cool.

Try the Christian band Superchick. I am very anti-religion in general(Heinlein said its just around so the priests can get what the priests want to get, or words to that effect) but this band rocks. They have a No Doubt kind of feel to them and the song "Bowling Ball" is fabulous.

I was at a record store in Chicago suburbs 92-ish & a song of theirs was playing. I asked the guy working there who it was, & he turned me on to em. He also said he was a DJ at a club & nearly every time he played em, someone would walk up & ask who it was.

I like Tool a lot too, Lateralus is my favourite album. I think 10,000 Days is very unerrated though.

Hmm, one band which always comes to mind when I think of the 90s is Bran Van 3000. I wonder whatever happened to them...

Gov't Mule came along in the mid-late 90s. Still around, as far as I know. They have some very interesting takes on a wide variety of material. Lots of stuff on YouTube you can check out.

prodigy, one of the better bands around at the moment, i find some of thier music quite relaxing,though i'll probaly change my mind tomorrow and think a differant bands better
