Congrats to Short Treks for nomination as best Short Form series!

I liked Calypso and have previously stated so.

In fairness, aside from "Calypso" and "Children of Mars", the Short Treks have been pretty lightweight.

But that's not Milli-Vanilli lip-syncing. I equate that more with taking a script from one series and changing the names but virtually nothing else for another. Not that I know of any shows like that. No way. Definitely not...

In fairness to Short Treks it's pretty hard to make anything that's not lightweight in 15 minutes.

Calypso is right up my alley. Some of my biggest issues with Discovery are that it lacks focus and maturity. Calypso is focused and mature. It's literary based. Would have made a great full length episode.

But I'm not sure why you bring it up.

The Milli Vanilli comparison wasn't about lip-syncing/copying etc. It was meant to show that people who aren't good or talented win awards.

I brought it up as proof of what Short Treks can do and has done. They're not all going to be like that, and they haven't been, but they could be.
