Confess your dumbness

I have trouble making eye contact sometimes so I rarely remember people the way I should. But, when it comes to TV and movies, I remember actors like you wouldn't believe. Voices, faces, the characters they played, etc. Not a problem. But people in real life? Not so much.

I am terribly bad with faces. :( Especially when I see somebody out of a familiar context. It was worst when I was at BMC-- I'd be so used to seeing somebody in scrubs or other hospital garb and then run into them at the supermarket or something and have no idea who they were.

I used to think Eegid was a real Irish word.
I used to think Tom Lehrer's "Irish Ballad" (aka "Rickety-Tickety-Tin") was an actual old Irish folk song, rather than a parody of one.
Next you'll be telling me that Denis Leary's "Traditional Irish Fok Song" is not a traditional Irish folk song. :cardie:

I'm currently stationed in Afghanistan. They do not recognize daylight savings time here and we are also an extra half hour ahead of other time zones. I've been here for 6 months now and I still can't figure out what time it is back home in the United States because that extra 30 minutes always throws me off.
A chinese friend of mine used to have the same problem. We made her a cardboard clock where the two handles were stuck together in a fixed angle. She would point the small one to the local time and the larger one would then point to the time in China. Maybe you could craft something like that too :)
