I've been playing the game since it came out a couple of days ago.

I got to the space section of the game and you get to design your own ship. The building blocks for the ship are a whole bunch of shapes, including a cube. And you can paint it however you like.

So I got to thinking, maybe I could make me a Borg cube and fly it about the place!

Only about 30 minutes later I had what I think is a pretty passable Borg ship.

I took some screen captures and made a YouTube video - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tyDRUv7_mk0

I have to go to bed now, but tomorrow I'll try and make a better one.

Thats pretty good. You even got the cutting beam and stuff. Is that part of a process in the game or did you somehow add the beam? Cool

I think any ship you make in the game has those weapons - I guess it's just very good luck for someone wanting to make a Borg ship!

Given the incredible number of Star Trek references Will Wright made during his one-hour presentation at a game conference about two years ago, I think luck has nothing to do with this ;)

Ah right! I must admit, I was surprised by how easy it was:

"Oh, look, I can just put a cube there and call it a space ship."

"Oh, fancy that, there is a paint scheme that lookso borg-ish."

"Well, blow me down, I can add borg-esque vents!"
