Component wire issue

Maybe this has been discussed before..I dont know..

But does anyone know why Component Video wires, as least the ones I have always gotten, have Red and Blue on the outside, and Green in the middle...but every component I have have Red and Green on the outside and Blue in the middle? Is there a reason for this???

Cannot say I've ever encountered this. It doesn't matter what color the connectors are as long as both ends of the same colored end piece are in the same colored port. So you could stick the Red component cable in the blue connector if you wanted, so long as the other end's red cable is in the blue connector of the other device.
