Coming Soon! "Star Trek: Picard" Funkos

For the life of me, I will never understand the appeal of those things.

or Beanie Babies or My Little Ponies or Cabbage Patch Dolls or Pogs or pairs of parachute pants or dust bunnies or Atari 2600 cartridges... well, the last one's more interactive...

I do hope they come out with Rios (The beard, the cigar, the hair ;) ... He'd make a great Funko! :) )

Not until they shove toy ciggies into little the toy plush ponies or dolls first (um, NOOOOOOOOOO! /editorializing )... Granted, that might have worked in 1950, but not nowadays. Never mind that the only time I saw a horse with a cig in its mouth was in a big poster telling us how that if a picture of farm animals smoking looked dumb, how is it dumb for humans...

Funko Pops are not aimed at children, as the one I have have " Ages 14+" on the box. There shouldn't be a problem with a hypothetical Rios Funko having a cigar.

Funkos are absolutely cheap trash. I love collecting models, but they ain't it. I'd pay premium for Enterprise models but they ain't there.

Paramount shop UK is starting to send these out now. I should hopefully get my Seven in a few days.:borg:

FWIW they are releasing a new Locutus (they did one years ago) and Borg Queen but they are being released under “Star Trek First Contact” not “Picard”

I wonder if their license is expiring because FC isn’t having an anniversary and releasing Picard pops a year+ after the last season dropped seems odd.

Maybe Paramount pushed it?
