I've just recently gotten back into comics / graphic novels. Is there anything out there that's more science fiction than it is superhero? I like Batman, X-Men, etc., but I wanted something to read that's more along the lines of Star Trek, Star Wars, etc.

You mean apart from Star Wars, Star Trek and Doctor who?

I think they're doing an adaptation of enders game right now too.

Yeah... something original, preferably. An adaptation of Ender's Game would be fun to read, though.

Some science fiction comics currently being published:

Fear Agent (Dark Horse Comics)

Buck Rogers (Dynamite Entertainment)

Flash Gordon (Ardden Entertainment)

A classic European science fiction comic book series that's available in TPB form:

The Incal (Humanoids)

They do have Star Trek and Star Wars comics.

Lots of pre-prequels stuff is available. You might want to checkout your neighborhood library to see if you like that.

Try

Flash Gordon or Buck Rodgers
Silver Surfer: Annihilation or Requiem
2000AD
Green Lantern Testament of Hal Jordan .
Akira Japan Manga
Ray Harryhausen Presents
The "Phoenix Saga" or "Man who has Everything"

The Red Star
La Foire aux Immortels
Enders Game (comic version)

Tank Girl
Star Trek or Starwars
Green Lantern and Silver Surfer Crossover

Warren Ellis did a oneshot called Orbiter about a Shuttle returning with no crew, and he made an antistartrek which was kinda funny called switchblade-something-or-another, honey or razorblade?

Thank you for the suggestions so far. And yes, I do realize they make Star Trek and Star Wars comics. I have a stack of them.

Also in terms of adaptations, Boom Studios is doing a complete text comic book adaptation of Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?. Every word of the novel is included in either speech balloons or caption boxes.

We3 by Grant Morrisson and Frank Quietly is a nice short story that's available in trade. It isn't futuristic space-faring sci-fi like SW or ST; think Robocop, but with animals instead.

Recently there's been comics based on the new Battlestar Galactica show. I don't know if they are still being made, but you should be able to find the trades in a bookstore or definitely in a comic book store. There's also a new Battlestar 1980 comic book out.

Also, I think Dark Horse produced at least two trades for the Firefly series. Also, DH is still doing Aliens and Predator books. I just saw an ad for a Mass Effect comic that DH will be doing.

I believe Marvel is also doing comics based on the Halo video games. Also, I think it's Marvel that's adapting or doing stories based on Ender's Game.

For a mix of superhero/sci-fi I would recommend Green Lantern or Nova.

DC and Marvel also do have some books geared more towards sci-fi than superheroes, although they are set in the same universe as their superhero books. DC has Green Lantern and Green Lantern Corps, books about their space-cops. But also R.E.B.E.L.S., a book about a different band of space cops. Marvel has their recently wrapped War of Kings series, it's sequels, and affiliated regular monthly books Nova and Guardians Of The Galaxy.

Graphic novels is how I read my comics these days since I prefer to put the book on the shelf. I also like to read manga too.

Yea, as a matter of fact, the Farscape comics are now going to be an ongoing series by Boom! comics. Not sure how this is going to affect the webisodes, if indeed they are even still going to be made.
