Comic-Con 2009: 3rd Doctor figures revealed!

Underground Toys revealed at their booth today at the SDCC the two upcoming figures based on Jon Pertwee's Doctor! Each is just like the 1st and 2nd were, part of a two-pack with a classic baddie.

The Doctor and a Sea Devil as seen in "The Sea Devils":

And yes, the first figure's cloak is removable. :techman:

And that Doctor with removable cloak? That'll be the one that's up to $100+ on eBay within a week....
 
Sweet. Any word on the release dates?

And damn. I want both of them. But I'd rather have the Doctor in the cloak and the Dalek. I don't care for the Sea Devil and don't like the Doctor's riding clothes.

*sigh* This is getting ridiculous. And as The says, we still need Docs 7 and 8.

Then I'm done. I swear I'm done.
 
Coolness! So when will these be available in the US? This time next year? With a SDCC Exclusive sticker on it? ;)
 
the 2nd one is much better, his hair is a better colour and the first one seems older than the second (as crazy as that sounds)

How much do these generally go for? Will they pop up on Ebay?
 
From what I've heard, it'll be the same deal as the SDCC figures, FP handling the UK, UT handling NA and the rest of the world be damned.

But word is October. For what that's worth.

There's a second classic Dalek set coming too. Same as the first though, just repaints.
 
I think this is the point where I stop buying them, and just let Character Options release all The Doctors and get them out there. Then, within about a year or so, they'll probably re-release all of these "exclusives" in single-packs for those of us who aren't going to fall for this 2-pack-expensive trick everytime...
 
I'm on the fence.

It is getting rather absurd, especially with the new Fourth Doctor 4-figure pack being a repackaged Doctor, not even a repaint or variant sculpt, and the second Dalek set just being a repaint of the existing one.

Still... I'm inclined to get the Doctors as they come just because you never know what will happen with the line.

If /when they come out with a 10 Doctors gift set, I'd get that and be done with it.

You and thousands of others, which is why I wouldn't hold your breath. But hopefully there will be no more taking the mick like 'Destroyed Cassandra'.

Yeah same here. I think I'll take my chances and wait. If the 4th Doctor is still out there and fairly easy to get, then I'm sure these others will be too.

very probably. though reissues are cheaper so it's the first run that pays for them to go ahead.

They have said if it wasn't for these releases they wouldn't happen. Not that I'm sure we need two Pertwees to happen...
 
I'd like one figure of each Doctor, but not at the prices being charged. If the company sells a multi-Doctor multi-pack, then I'll consider it.
