College Humor destroys Tim Burton!

I have to say though, his adaptions are getting increasingly predicable. I mean first Charlie, then Alice? Who wants to bet his next adaption with feature a certain Dorothy from Kansas?

This makes me wonder.... with the other adaptations of works by Alan Moore out there (Watchmen, V for Vendetta, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, and the Johnny Depp-headlined From Hell come to mind), would Tim Burton dare to tackle Lost Girls? And, if he did, how the hell would he (or anyone else, for that matter) keep it from being rated NC-17?! Hell, I don't think even THAT would be a strong enough rating, as it's essentially a porno!

I doubt Moore would allow it to be adapted, but even if he did, would Burton dare? No.

The only director I can think of having the balls and the skill to do that without making it too trashy would be Stanley Kubrick, which of course is no longer an option. Of course given the ages of the characters in the flashback (especially Wendy's) I can't see any studio touching it with a 50ft pole.

You think Burton has forced Depp into some roles that don't suit him? So you're against Depp starrring in Burton's "The Gary Coleman Story"?

He has Depp playing the same eccentric, freaky, ambigiously gay character in every movie now.

There was a common joke in the MST3K riffs where they'd see a character on screen and say he was "Actor A is Actor B in the Actor C story."

The joke being the character looked like Actor A, playing Actor B in a movie about Actor C.

Seems to me Depp in Burton's movies is almost always playing Michael Jackson is Marcel Marceau as (Willy Wonka, Mad Hater, Edward Sicssorhands, etc.)
