Been thinking about this alot just recently but do you think gene used the USA as the federation and Russia as the Klingons in his series to potray what was going on in the world in the sixties.
Fair enough the federation and Klingons were made up to not get on with each other and gene also used other political and world issues in his series but I'm sure that the Klingons and federation were based on these.?
