Fabian had a great journey in this one. I loved that he was willing to sacrifice himself for the sake of Bart and the residents of First City. His scene with Sonya at the end was great, and I hope it signals an impending end to the quasi-triangle storyline.
Lense and Sarjenka worked well together, even though the climax was too heavy on the medbabble for my taste.
I'm sorry to say that the Ardanans did nothing for me in this tale. Even the historian, who got the most face time, seemed like a walking, talking plot device.
This was worth reading for the character moments, but it was just an average CoE story.
