Climate Change in Australia - LA Times Article

Having just read through this article, I feel I must share it with people of intelligence, and that means all of you. Although I have been aware to some extent of the conditions in Australia, I had no idea it was this severe. Mass wildlife die-offs, high suicide rates of farmers whose crops will not grow, fatal heatwaves and wildfires beyond anything we in Southern California have encountered... I wonder just how much of the world truly knows about how the changing climate is affecting the Australian people and enviromnent. It does not bode well for the rest of us if this truly is the "harbinger of change", as is stated in the article.

Don't you mean - desalination plants?

You two word solution would not help the northern parts of Australia which has too much rain, nor would it prevent bushfires or heatwaves.

I am lucky to live in Tasmania. How situation here is better than most of Australia but even we down here suffer from drought.
