When you start a thread, it's generally accepted that it have some actual content. Just posting one word seems more like spamming. You could add a question or opinion, of some kind, to get a discussion started.
Cliffhanger in mid-season two-parter? Fine. Cliffhanger at end of season (especially on a show teetering towards cancellation)? Complete bullshit.
