Hey Guys!

Posting this here in addition to my WIP thread.

This is a short animation featuring my first real attempt at character animation including facial mocap. There are a number of things that I know can be improved upon, and there are things that I was unable to do (such as score the short myself.) Additionally some new tools that have come out in the past few months will greatly assist with character animation and produce higher quality results for future projects!

Enjoy!

Nice first effort. Some of the software tools are pretty amazing now.

A few of suggestions for your next one, assuming the software gives you control of these things:

The characters often look cross-eyed, but this might be an issue with the models. And related to the eyes...

The blinks look weird, like the characters only half close their eyes. You might want to check what level of control you have. (Also, people mostly tend to blink when they turn their heads or when they have a new thought, so if you have that level of control, it'll make the characters feel more real.)

Otherwise I'd strongly suggest not moving the camera so much. It feels like we're constantly swimming around.

@Maurice I'll keep that in mind for next time, for next time there are some new tools released in the past few months that I'll be using that will allow me to take a different approach to the facial mocap that should fix that.

Thanks for the feedback!
