Classic low-budget science-fiction, fantasy & horror films that you like?

What I don't like to see is when unusual things are looked at askance and the ones making the reports are cast in an unfairly suspicious light for various reasons.

That's hardly the intent. I mean, it's just a memory of a movie -- it's not like it's anything important. And pointing out that human memory is fallible is hardly a personal criticism, since it's a universal fact of how human cognition works. There are decades of research proving that we alter our memories every time we revisit them.

So there's no "looking askance" and nothing to be "suspicious" about, because there's nothing wrong with having exactly the same imperfections of memory as every other person in the world.

It gets dicey when people say something like, "X number of people have a memory of so and so and your memory doesn't go along with that, so most likely your memory is wrong."

That's just another form of ostracism and tyranny-of-the-majority, especially in a world where some mighty strange things go on at times that shake up the apple cart of mainstream science.

I don't understand why you're overreacting to this. It's a vague memory about a movie, something completely unimportant. All I said was that you can't trust a 30-year-old memory. Nobody can. That's just everyday common sense, hardly something to be offended by.
