Re: Chuck - 4x07 - Chuck vs. the First Fight - Discuss/Grade <SPOILERS
Dalton was fun playing against type. Although to be fair Bond was never something he was typecast as.
So have bad guys never just shot the good guy right then and there on Chuck?
One bad guy just suddenly shot Emmit Milbarge in the head.. practically executed him just because he was in the wrong place at the wrong time.. pretty atypical violence for Chuck (though one can argue if Emmit ever was a good guy

)
Anyway.. Awesome episode. Huge leap in the storyline and they are moving full force though in hindsight it's to be expected since the original order for the 4th season just contained 9 episodes i think and we have just seen the 7th.
I loved practically everything about it.. the scene with Ellie and her mom nearly broke my heart, mom taking (i guess rather subduing) the intersect in Chucks head, James Bond is Volkoff (i only expected him to play the handler that way to hide the fact that he's a pro field agent not that he was Volkoff himself!) and the ending with Ellie's new car (what was that thing under the seat?).
I guess Orion is a master strategist having backup plans for every possibility so i guess the device will play a heavy role in the future.
And btw.. i love how Chuck is fighting nowadays. When the Intersect 2.0 was introduced it was clear that Zach Levi has no martial arts training and no acrobatic skills because, let's be honest, it looked very goofy and fake when he tried some kicks and roundhouse kicks.
Now they have toned it down to simple strikes, grapples and holds which are both more realistic in hand to hand and quite easy to pull off with a little choreography. Thanks go out to the stunt coordinator.
Impatiently looking forward to the next Chuck episode
