Welcome to another Chuckday. Tonight we pick up after last week's series changing episode. Last week is going to be a hard episode to top. But it looks like Casey is getting some of the focus this week. Something I have been looking forward to, as I feel he has been a bit back-burnered since Shaw's arrival on the scene.

Casey goes on a rogue mission for Colonel Keller--and Chuck and Sarah must save him from himself.

We are at the mid-point of the 19 episode season.

From the preview last week, we see that General Beckman is returning. Shit is going to go down!

Maybe Shaw will die. *fingers crossed*

A bit of a slow start but wound up kicking things up a notch in the second half. I give it a "good" rating.

Casey's backstory was completely predictable but things were saved by Adam Baldwin's performance.

Interesting. I'm curious to see where they take Casey now, because I can't see this state of affairs lasting long.

I also find it funny that I made the comment to my wife that Chuck really was going to end up having to kill someone soon right before it almost happened.

So, Doctors Without Borders is off. So much for my paranoia! They're really throwing the characters around kind of randomly it seems. Everyone vaguely important except Ellie knows that Chuck's a spy, they're threatening Sarah leaving (yeah right), they have thrown Casey into civilian mode, though I guess he's still his neighbor, and I really doubt he's off the team forever. Are we done with Shaw? Is that the plan, Sarah rejects him, Washington DC, he stays there.... one more Shaw episode? I won't really be sorry to see him go, so whatever.

I gave this week a Big Mike.

It was a kind of slow episode, no real comedy interwoven, not surprising since the Buy Morons were absent this week. Devon and Morgan revealing to each other they knew about Chuck was a bit troubling as well. Both swore to keep that a secret and knows that lives depend on it. Yet Devon is a basketcase and Morgan can't keep quiet even for an episode. And running around the apartment playing spy spying on Casey? Not very smart. Yeah, I know it is Morgan and what do you expect? But still, his best friend's life depends on him keeping a secret. You'd think he would think twice about pulling such crap.

What got this episode back into positive review territory for me was Casey's backstory. And it turns out he WAS the guy the mobster thought he was from two weeks ago. I have been wanting additional focus on Casey, so I was enjoying the reveal of his backstory, as cliched as it was. I was also glad to see the rebound of Sarah's feelings as she saw by Chuck's loyalty to Casey that he is still the same guy she fell for. I too hope that the next appearance of Shaw is Sarah telling him she's staying in Burbank with Chuck.

So, still a good episode. It moved things forward for the season, even though it was a bit heavier on the drama than usual. Sometimes, that is a necessary evil when you need to progress the long term story. So I will give them this one.

I actually thought this was a really good episode. Robert Patrick as a Ring operative is a good fit, although very brief. Albeit your basic run of the mill black ops seargent, but he suits it well.

This season has really kicked it up a notch these last few episodes. A lot of fun and there was some good action here as well. Loved how they got past security the 2nd time.

Forgot to mention this. I much rather would have liked to have seen Robert Patrick in a six episode stint over Brandon Routh. I'm still not 100% sure what people see in Routh--he comes off as completely wooden and boring, much like Tom Welling.

Rats, I screwed up the ole DVR - anything happen this week? Is Casey being blackmailed into becoming an evildoer or something?

Casey committed treason and got kicked out of the military. We also learned that his real name is Alex and that he has a long-lost teenage daughter. So yeah, stuff happened.

Please GOD, tell me Casey isn't off the show for good. I don't think the show will be the same without him.

The citizens of BuyMoria are fun, but small doses of them are enough. I'd rather get to see more of Casey.

And, for GOD's SAKE, just tell Ellie already. Everyone else already knows.
