I've long considered myself conservative though voting is different. I have never once considered any race superior. Was taught at a conservative school all men are created equal. One of my first comments to my mom when I met a white general practicing Doctor was that I didn't know white people could be doctors because all the doctors in my life had been other races than me.

And people mad over Helen's casting need to watch more movies and see Eartha Kitt acting as Helen.
FWIW, I'm conservative as well--contemporary politics has just pushed so far to the right in the last decade that I'm now considered radically left.
It doesn't change my original point that the people complaining about the casting in this movie are almost always the same people that claim the don't see colour--which was the relevant point to this thread.

People complaining about skin color miss the points of films.
When people stand up to be counted with a coalition that in 2026 largely stands for racism and bigotry/fascism (ICE), pedophilia (Epstein cover up), illegal wars, rampant inflation and the list goes on, they should expect to be called out for it.

I am conservative, but, I like to think, moderately so. I think of myself as a bit right of center. I vote republican because of certain issues that I find more personally important than other issues, but I dislike the extreme right as much as I dislike the extreme left. My liberal friends think I'm too conservative, and my conservative friends think I'm too liberal. It's frustrating thinking for yourself

I have the same experience. I'm principally conservative when it comes to finance and government control, yet I do support social programs that help those who need it.
