I'm sorry, I just can't do Christmas in July. By the time Spring rolls around, I'm usually so over the harsh winter weather we have that I don't like being reminded of it during the summer.

Always my favorite fun Christmas song:

Yeah, believe me, I get it in both extremes. I live in a city with 330 lakes within its boundaries.
Admittedly, in my case winters rarely dip below -30, if that, which I actually don't mind that much. I will say a few years ago it actually did get to -40 and it sure as shit was not fun.

It sure isn't. That's why I don't like being reminded of it during summer  But we get -40 in winter and 30's in the summer. And both with high humidity.

I adore Christmas every year, but these days it really seems like it comes and goes way too fast. Stores begin stocking decorations before Halloween, there's about 2 months of controlled chaos, and then its all over like nothing happened. I miss my childhood, where it seemed to last longer and be appreciated more.

Yeah, stores are now starting to display Halloween stuff including costumes in July. I feel that's way too early. In Canada, we celebrate Thanksgiving earlier in October. By the time Halloween is over, there's nothing major until Christmas, so we don't have a buffer.
