CHASE Cancelled

Starbreaker

Fleet Admiral
Admiral
It's official. The latest Jerry Bruckheimer bomb featuring annoying characters and incredibly unbelievable weekly mass murdering rampages has been put out of its misery. After having it's episode order cut, the remaining handful of episodes have been yanked from the schedule.

I liked the first few episodes, but quit watching when it switched nights and time slots.

This was still on? I thought it was cancelled way earlier this season, but then again the only thing I watch on NBC is Chuck.

I thought the same thing...

I tried an episode or two, it was just to flashy and no substance. Not that I need a lot of substance, but this didn't even have characters to be engaged with.

It was barely hangin on. Obama pre-empted it and then there was another scheduling change, but they've finally done away with it alltogether.

Is it strange that i've never even heard about the show much less watched it?

I liked it, especially the female lead, I hope she gets another job on tv soon. :shifty:

I admit the marshals were a bit superhumanly good at their jobs, but then, is that any different in CSI, NCIS or Criminal Minds?

Yeah.. I really enjoy her as the lead actress and also Cole Hauser from Pitch Black. Hope they both get new gigs.

It wasn't cancelled but it did get a reduction in the number of episodes. It went from 22 to 18 which is never a good side.

It was an entertaining show but nothing great. My one big problem was that they always caught the fugitive or killed him. None ever got away. I remember that on Without a Trace they found all the missing people alive for the most of the first season before they found someone dead. You can't make the cops supercops for too long. Though with WaT they had better characters so they got away with it long enough for people to like the show. Chase never did. The female lead was developed but the others were cliches. That didn't help matters with the viewers. Plus being on NBC...

I watched the pilot last night. Even before I read this, I had no intention of watching more.

The first and second episodes are the best ones. There is also a good episode with Jennifer Morrison.

The rest... meh.

I disagree that Chase was terrible. I was actually liking Chase a lot. Not only did it lived up to its name, each episode had a Chase, but the characters were good too, especially the lead character. And the two-part episode they just got done showing were the best episodes yet! *sigh*

Chase was actually the ONLY show I was watching on NBC right now. I'm going to watch The Event, which comes back in March, but I'm sure that'll get canceled too. Blah.

If you want truly terrible shows, then look no further than the stupid Mintue to Win It show thats taking Chase's place and the also very stupid The Cape, which is currently taking The Event's place.

Btw, if you want to see two really good cop shows that are still on now, check out Blue Bloods and Detroit 1-8-7. I think Blue Bloods has a good chance of coming back next season. I would be very suprised if Detroit 1-8-7 comes back, but imo, its still worth checking out. Very well written/acted show!

My biggest problem was the uber-Marshal in the super model's body who hit harder, ran faster and was more aggressive then everybody around her with no outward signs of steroid abuse. I especially liked when she chased down a plane trying to take off on foot and chased down a car suddenly appearing 10 meters in front of the rest of her team like she was super human.

Perhaps if the show had lasted we would have gotten the back story like Ziva on NCIS of how she got that way but the excessive gender cheer leading thing of anything a man can do Annie could do better had me :brickwall:
