I'd've been damned proud to have done this kind of work so successfully as a teenager. Obviously derivative of 2001, and there are some problem bits, but a pretty damned good try for age 19. Has a decent eye for lenses, and I think if he built the stuff larger it would really be impressive.

Maybe the cg backlash will actually come to something if there are a few more like this one out there.
