CG Sucks. Model Work Sucks.

I demand that all the SFX in this film be left to our imaginations. This way nobody will be disappointed. Unless you have no imagination. In which case this film may not be for you. You know, since big imaginary space ships shooting laser beams everywhere requires a little bit of a suspension of disbelief.

*They won't have to worry about the Trekkies wringing their hands over a newly designed Enterprise since they will be able to imagine it any way they want.

Except how YOU want to imagine the scene looking is ALL WRONG! ;) :p

Actually, lets scrap all visuals. Spend all the budget on Radio. Or better yet, a download - a podcast.

The worlds first $150 million dollar podcast!!!

Imagine the Sound FX!!! Never will the Enterprise be so clearly heard. Think how swoooshy the doors will sound. Think of the viewscreen pings!!! :D

Well, then, please remove your brain and have it FedEx'ed to the PPC legal team. Be sure to mark it "NOT FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION" on the box, too... you know how those lawyers can get...

^ Now that you mention it, the swooshes were a bit off in Trials and Tribble-ations so let's hope the new team spends adequate time and effort sorting these out...

IIRC the doors didnt open quick enough on set. The stagehands were used to pulling open those big heavy doors on DS9.

Therefore they had to extend the swoosh. IIRC :D

Actually, my imagination is canon and Paramount MUST conform to it! Otherwise, I'll boycott any version of Trek that doesn't meet with my preconceived notions.

;)

You know, an imaginary script would be the perfect way to make revisions in light of the writers' strike. And no one could flub a line! Think of all the time that could be saved on reshoots!
