Cell Phones and Cancer

Ok, maybe someone like Chirstopher can back me up, or help me out, on this.

But recently groups have been pushing -again- to get cell phone makers to be more vocal about warnings that cell phones could cause cancer -though no research or study I've ever heard of supports this.

And, further, I think particle science and physics out-right says such a thing is impossible. Cellphones do not emit ionizing radiation. They can't break electrons off atoms in DNA and cause cancer. If they could since we're bombarded with microwave radiation and nearly every form and radiation in stronger -higher-energy forms all the fucking time (I'm seriously, we're bathed in radiation) I would think everyone on the planet would have cancer.

But I could be wrong.

Cell phones use radio frequency, which is non-ionizing and is only capable of heating tissue. But cell phones operate at energy levels too low to actually do any significant heating.

There is no evidence that RF radiation is harmful at all.

Ionizing radiation is high in energy and small in "size" (wavelength), so it can easily penetrate DNA molecules and knock out particles, causing mutations. Microwaves are far lower in energy and far bigger, way too big to penetrate a DNA molecule. If ionizing radiation is like being hit with a bullet, a cell-phone signal is more like being hit with a weather balloon.

I just got a new phone today and noticed it has a few pages of text about RF emissions and health hazards, which was basically saying "There's no evidence of any danger aside from some unconfirmed studies that nobody's been able to repeat, but we're sounding all cautious anyway because our lawyers insist on it." The text stated that high-energy RF can cause heating damage, but the low-energy RF of a cell phone has not been shown to do the same. No mention of cancer as far as I saw.
