Celebs who should play other celebs

Rÿcher

Fleet Captain
If they were to remake classic movies, try to think of an actor or actress who most closely resembles the original to play the original.

I think Hugh Jackman looks enough like a young Clint Eastwood to play him in a remake of an old spaghetti western or the early Dirty Harry films or even Escape from Alcatraz.

If they were to remake Bullitt or Papillon, Daniel Craig looks a lot like Steve McQueen.

I've always thought Marc Warren could play a young Malcolm Mcdowell (Especially when I saw Malcolm in Aces High)

David Hewlett would make a great Bob Hope, particularly in his younger years.

He could also play Graham Chapman if BBC Four ever did a biopic on the Pythons.

With David Tennant as John Cleese, Alfred Molina as Terry Jones, Michael Sheen as Eric Idle (he could play any of them ;)), and Reece Shearsmith as Michael Palin. Not sure about Gilliam, though.

And how about David Morrissey and John Simm as Morecambe and Wise? :bolian:

Funny story about that. There were both at some film convention or something and waiting in line next to each other to go out and promote their films. X-Men had just came out and Jackman was just stacked with excitement to be next to Clint. So he said, "You know, some people say I look just like you." Clint just looked at him with that angry old man look of his and said "You're holding up the line son." Jackman was pretty bummed out to be told off by his hero, but then he thought about it came to the conclusion that being told off by Clint at a convention like that is a sign that you're famous now.

I would've nominated Connor Trinneer for Bob Hope. He has the profile for "Old Ski-Lift Nose," and the right vocal range too.

And while Karl Urban has claimed the role of young Dr. McCoy, I agree with the suggestion I read somewhere that if they made a biopic about DeForest Kelley in his 40s or older, Gary Sinise would be the man for the job.

I agree.

I always thought that Guy Pearce would make a good Rod Serling if someone were to make a biopic about Serling's life.
