Celebrity Outbursts on Talk Shows/Public Events.

Celebrities, heh, they're only human and can be caught out from time to time. I often think we as a society seem to be way too uptight about emotional outbursts, but sometimes they can be completely uncalled for and out of the blue, for example Barry Gibb's sulky outburst on a British talkshow from way back in the mid to late 90s (the look of heartfelt dismay and lost composure on Clive Anderson's chummy face was a sight to behold though). But often signs of strong emotion can be blown completely out of proportion and out of context, like that Internet meme, the Howie Scream.

I know Al Franken didn't like where a radio interview was going, so he threw a chair at the host and stormed off.

So the Bee Gees guy didn't like the joke about forgetting that song? Is that why they left?
I knew I had a reason to hate the Bee Gees.

To be fair the late Maurice Gibb seemed to be as taken off guard as Clive and the audience when the other Gibbs sullenly stalked out the studio under a dark cloud (he even cheefully said goodbye to the host).

Gone blank on who it was, but Australian interviewer Andrew Denton was interviewing an American actress (some one like Goldie Hawn). She was such an uncoperative bitch that they just wiped the tape and found another guest (so I guess it doesn't quite count as a public outburst).

A personal favourite wasn't quite a celebrity but a friend of mine being interviewed on Dutch morning TV and getting bored of the whole thing.

"Is there anything you'd like to say to the fans watching tonight?"
"Aye. Fuck off."

As much as I hate the show, Celebrity Big Brother has had smoe classics such as John McCrirrock (I have no idea how to spell his name) going on a rant when they didn't give him his diet coke, and Leo Sayer walking out when he refused to wash his own underwear.

I'm hoping for a Bill Shatner outburst of sorts on Jonathon Ross this week if asked about George Takei's wedding.

Wow, that Oliver Reed video was absolutely amazing, I had never heard about that happening, yet it's hilarious.

Here is John Sweeney's more justified explosion at the creepy Scientologists who were pushing his buttons for days on end (Louis Theoroux would've handled those creeps better than Sweeney though).

Oh yeah, the year of the Incredible Sulk. That was quite funny.

Not as funny as Vanessa Feltz's mental breakdown after 18 seconds in the house :p
