celebrities who play videogames

Paris Hilton was one of Microsoft's 'Celebrity Gamers' (that's seriously what they called them) during the Xbox 360 launch. I can't remember who the others were - though maybe Elijah Wood? ;)

Microsoft occasionally does this 'Game With Fame' thing on Xbox Live, though the people they pick usually aren't very famous. I remember once they had INXS, and then Xbox.com did an interview with J.D. Fortune (the lead singer) who expressed astonishment at his screen not being divided into 16 little squares whilst playing Halo 3 online

^ I like your signature, Mistral. Reminds me of something I heard on The West Wing once, where Toby Ziegler remarked that a camel is a horse built by committee

When I saw the cast of Serenity at WonderCon a few years ago, Nathan Fillion said that he and Alan Tudyk played Halo 2 together on Xbox Live.

yeah Vin Diesel is 'one of us'
and I think that's part of the reason CoR:Escape From Butcher Bay was such a good game

Well, that and the fact that he thought video games based on movies sucked (after playing the game based on XXX) and founded his own company to make games that didn't.

Funny you should bring this up because jsut the other night I saw a commercial for the Nintendo DS... with Arwen herself, Liv Tyler. It was her voice that tipped it off first. I didn't recognize the other girl, though.

^Nintendo have been using celebrities in their ads for various Wii and DS games here in the UK for a while now.
