...and what better ship to build than the one that started it all? Here is my build of the 1/1000 scale Round 2 USS Enterprise NCC-1701, as she appeared in the first Star Trek films. I'm afraid I'm not too good with models, but this is my humble tribute to the old girl as she appeared in what I believe to be the prime of her life, after she was refitted to take on V'Ger and Khan. I purposefully painted her deflector an amber color, because no one else does that, and I prefer her with an amber dish. Here's to many more years of Star Trek, and as always, let's make sure history never forgets the name Enterprise...no bloody A, B, C or D! EDIT: There were some problems with the photos so I went back and re-uploaded them. Hopefully you can see them now!
@Admiral Archer, for some reason I can't see your pics; they're showing up as gray boxes that have a little white circle with a horizontal line through the middle. Maybe they got lost when your post was moved?
I tried to fix the URLs but I can't make sense of them I'm afraid. @Admiral Archer, can you upload your images to an image sharing website like imgur.com and post the links from there?
I had a quick look and they're Google Drive links. I think it would indeed be best to upload to an image share service like imgur.com to effectively share them...
I have thought about putting the bridge section and an inch or two of its surroundings in place of that of the 1:537 refit to make a larger ship
