While I wish this would meant this whole thing would be over, I know better. The grift will continue. The whatever the fuck the “haters” on Facebook are doing will continue. At least this place only talks about it once in a blue moon.

Today, we’ve learned that the sheriffs are on their way to Alec Peters house to repossess everything they can find. Perhaps there won't ever be a fan film.

Hmm. I'll bet this applies to bank accounts, too...

But don't worry, he's got it all in his girlfriend's name, so he's judgement-proof!

Or whatever it was he claimed...

I really don't get why people fall for Peters' BS, though. I was skeptical of him due to his documented history in the props arena before it all exploded, hence why I never donated. Why do others keep falling into this, given how much documentation there is?

I think alot of it, for me anyway, was hope that the thing would actually get made because... it looked awesome. I honestly haven't kept super up on whatever the guy was doing, I only ever cared about the film that was being produced.

TBH, I think most of us agree with that.

However, it quickly became clear to me, and time hasn't changed my opinion that that was largely in spite of his involvement and due mostly to genuine talents who are either dead or want nothing to do with at this point.

Gary Graham and Tony Todd being two of the former that spring to mind and I believe that Tobias Richter falls in the latter group, though I might be wrong about that (if so, I'm sure someone could suggest a substitute).

Your post makes it sound like Tony Todd passed away. That doesn't seem to be so.

Huh... that'll teach me to not check. Maybe he's the one in the second group? JG Hertzler also appears to have mixed feelings at best about the project (vetoing further use of previously shoot footage)

I apparently confused Tony Todd with Richard Hatch... somehow?

I like how every time the Ares and its sister-ships pass by the camera, they make a different, incredibly distinct engine-noise sound effect, ranging from TIE fighter to muscle car.

The D-7 is NOT a Dreadnought. It's a Battle Cruiser. If they can't get something that basic right, I wonder just how bad it would be.

Of course, I say "would be" and not "will be" because "will be" implies the film will actually get made.

Yeah, I mean could there be a "klingon dreadnought"?

Maybe, certainly the idea that they (unlike Starfleet typically) have a bigger, nastier battleship type design that is wholly dedicated to combat is plausible, nor is it implausible that the "class name" of said vessel translate to "fearless one" or "one who dreads nothing".

Actually, yes. Both the FASA game and Star Fleet Battles have larger Dreadnought class Klingon ship.

In SFB, the C-8 and C-9 Dreadnoughts are notably larger with a third Warp engine mounted on the bottom of the boom.

And then there's the mighty four-engine B-10 Battleship.

Hmmm... I was under the impression that the extended teaser trailer was released a decade ago. I think it was called Prelude something or other...
