Ooh, that is interesting.
Let's see if the Space Force is watching that closely.
I can't imagine anything more hilarious than him deluding himself into believing he's beaten CBS, only to have the military come after him. I'm sure he'd have a logical and reasonable response...
"100% of the profits of the sale of this item benefit Ares Studios and its educational mission."
Oh, I'm sure Alec has filed the appropriate paper work and paid the appropriate licensing fees...
Speaking of which, did he ever get his supposed "non-profit" approved by the IRS?
No, he couldn't mail in the form because he used up all his stamps mailing out perks.
That "educational mission" being "to teach you rubes there's a sucker born every minute."
It is not just for ballcaps.....it IS their official logo. The other thing you posted is their official SEAL. I work in a JSOC with members of all services in Stuttgart Germany on the garrison. If you don't believe me take it from them.
Acknowledged. Doesn't change the fact that LFIM isn't the only one using it for personal gain, and this time the "everybody's doing it" defense might hold up better. Consider how young USSF is. How many official licenses for its insignia do you think they've issued?
Zero. Don’t even know if the members are wearing their own swag. Lol.
And the thread has returned to homeostasis on page 318 with the absense of real news to criticize. Welcome back, ya'll! Stale sushi humor incoming?
Yeah, the bottom line with this news is that reporting Alec is selling something that doesn't belong to him is like reporting that a dog is peeing on a hydrant. It's a dog. He's Alec.
My problem is how easy this steal is, mainly because whoever designed the SF insignia was obviously influenced by trek. It looks enough like a cochrane delta that all Alec had to do was appropriate it by itself so his uninformed sycophants can go "Wow! It's an edgy new trek symbol design!" This was like the SF ringing a dinner bell and yelling "Alec! Come and get it!" And he did.
The other way around actually: this logo is originally from 1961 and the star trek delta was likely inspired to it.
You're either trolling or hopelessly confused. For the sake of my blood pressure I'll assume it's the latter. Either way, I stand by my previous post.
if you say so. The matter has been discussed at length last year.
I stand corrected.
And patch making and how NOT to mail them out in a timely manner.
Indeed, yes. And it pains me at how often that misinformation gets repeated. Even a brief web search brought up articles about how "familiar" the Space Force logo looks.
I was just about the ask if a civilian with no relation to the government or military can sell stuff like this, and now you've answered my question for me.
Separate names with a comma.
