If it's the former, then the movies are "coming home" so to speak. If it's the latter, then it could see CBS buying out another company that directly rivals Viacom and Paramount, with a fight over movie rights to Star Trek. It's fun either way.

I could see CBS merging with Sony. If that or something similar happened, I fully expect Star Trek's movie rights to come along with them.
