So my wife says the neighbor's black lab puppy got loose yesterday and got in our slider when she opened up to bring him home. Shimmy lept into action... got up high on the bed and with all his mini-black panther powers, successfully staved off the puppy invasion!!! No blood was shed and we're back down to DEFCON 1

1. Nah, but the vet had a theory that they had the same father. I adopted them from a rescue group in Houston.
2. Well, Owen is a healthy 12 pounds, while Beverly is pushing 20. It's pretty easy these days.

My favorite coat patterns, in no order: solid grey or black, orange or standard striped or spotted tabby, and dark color points.

I had a tortie with six toes on her front paws and five on the back once, a very finicky, one person cat.

On the top is Georgy (aged 4, about 15 lbs/6.5kg in weight)
In the middle is Spider (aged 6, also about 15 lbs)
On the bottom is Miss Chicken (aged 11, about 9lbs/4kg)

Despite being the oldest, smallest and only having three legs Miss Chicken is the absolute ruler of the other two. She dislikes Georgy and he is quite frightened of her. Spider is an easy going chap and he gets on well with both of the others.

Today, Sparkle licked my hand a few times then, quite calmly, gnawed at it, hurting but not breaking the skin. Explanation for the latter action?
