Castle and Beckett investigate the murder of a bike messenger and the past of a prominent family figures into the investigation.

"I have two words for you... hair and receding."

I vote excellent (of course I am just totally loving this show).

I enjoyed this one a lot. Nice twist, the politician wasn't a "bad guy." :techman:

Excellent...so fun to watch the two different family dynamics...Castle's v the rich guys.

Nice to see the captain "working" a case.

Much as I enjoy the Castle/Becket interaction, I don't think the show would be nearly as good without Castle's mom and daughter. They're both delightful.

This seemed to be "spotlight the overlooked characters" week, with the A plot focusing on Captain Montgomery and the B plot focusing on Martha. Which is all well and good, except it meant there wasn't enough Alexis.

The cool thing about Martha being a veteran actress is that they can use actual publicity photos of Susan Sullivan from earlier in her career. To me, she'll always be Elaina Marks from the pilot of The Incredible Hulk.

I had a problem with the way they instantly ruled out Gregg Henry's character as the father of Olivia just because he had a boyfriend. Haven't they ever heard of bisexuals?

I was surprised they never considered that someone was wiretapping the aunt and immediately thought corrupt prison guard. But I guess that's what happens when the show is only 43 minutes long.

I was excited that Gregg Henry wasn't the bad guy! After our conversation a couple weeks ago about recognizable guest stars, I was sure he would be the villain as soon as I saw him in the family photo.

Nice to see a Firefly alum get a guest spot too. :D

This one brought the quality back up a bit from the last episode in my opinion. I did notice that Jonathan Frakes had directed this one. It was also funny when we first saw Gregg Henry my wife and I were both like "Hey! Look who it is!" It was good to see he wasn't the bad guy in this one. I wish that Alexis had been in it a bit more, but was glad to see both the captain and Martha getting a bit more to do in this one. I loved when the one guy asked "Are you two together?" and Castle responded "Not yet". Hehe, I wish they had played that one up more.
