Castle and Beckett investigate the murder of a women found frozen and tangled in steel bars at a construction site. The case leads them to looking into an old case and also has Beckett thinking about some memories from her past.

I've just started watching this as of yesterday; caught all the previous episodes on TV.com. Like it very much, especially the characters. I'll be watching tonight.

Anyone else notice a lot of the cops in the precinct are reading his books? At least once an episode (so far) someone is walking around with or holding while talking a Castle book.

I enjoyed tonight's episode. It deviated from past episodes where they neatly wrapped up the case early and then after Castle asked a couple of questions, realized it wasn't nearly that cut and dry.

I liked pulling the curtain back on Beckett and her past. I see Castle writing a book about the case which "solves it". I hope he doesn't do his own detective work and try to solve it for her.

I think the show is like the pulp fiction novels Castle writes. People don't read his books for the great dialogue, the perfect crime or how it's solved. His books, and all pulp fiction, follow a pretty set formula that doesn't vary much from book to book. People keep buying the books because they're interested in the characters and what happens to them. For me, it's the same.

Think about all the modern multi-best sellers with long term characters - Cussler, Ludlum, Patterson, among others. The plots are all basically the same. I read them because I'm interested in the characters.

Did anybody think the storage owner's name was Al Borland when he first said it? Plaid flannel shirt, beard - Home Improvement call back?

Is the exterior of the station the same one used in NYPD Blue?

I enjoyed this more than the previous episodes!

Loved, loved, loved the LASER tag. I enjoy the daughter. She's smart, and it would have been easy for her to be unlikable.

Does anyone else hate the interrogation room? It very well may be what they look like (wouldn't know), but it's just painful to look at.

I usually dislike police procedurals, but the characters in this show really elevate this to something good. When I read the premise of this show I thought that this could not possibly work. I checked the show out regardless because of Nathan Fillion. I'm glad that I did.
I'm starting to love the characters on this show. I especially like the interaction of the two leads and also Castle and his daughter. I like that they don't portray the daughter as some kind of genius or the opposite of juvenile delinquent, but simply as a nice kid that loves and really knows her dad well. That's quite rare and I think is portrayed perfectly by the actors.

I am beginning to like the twist to every storyline.

By the way, for fans of the episode 2 weeks ago.....

Loved this episode. Laser tag was great. I wonder how long they can keep that sexual tension thing going on for?

I LOVE Castle's relationship with his family. That element, more than anything else, has sold me on this show. Yeah, mom's a little dysfunctional, but most families have one of those - unlike most of television where most families have only one sane member.

How is the show doing? Can we keep it, huh, can we, huh? ;)

I did not find her at all attractive before that scene. I get it now, at least a little.

Haha well then it was worth the effort of the screenshot. I had the same feeling too when I first saw the trailers for the season premiere. It's not only so much her looks but also her actions/dialogue in the show. She's a good actress.

Most TrekBBS members feel that it is doing okay. It hit 9.1 M views last monday. I think that was a series low for it :(

Who knows?
