Car disintegrates-100 Mph wreck against bridge post

It's pretty amazing what the human body can survive sometimes. I'm curious (but doubtful given his recklessness) if he was wearing a seatbelt and still got ejected by the sheer force of the impact and rolling through the air. I think a seatbelt possibly could have killed him or severely crushed his chest in that situation.

You know who manages to survive the most fucked up car wrecks? Drunks.

I've showed up on scenes of cars torn in half and had the drunk sitting on the curb smoking a cig with minor scrapes.

The guy survived, eh?

Pardon the vulgarity, but that's dumb fuck luck right there.

Well, alcohol -is- a muscle relaxant...heh.

It's not only that, drunks aren't paying attention and don't brace for impact, which is actually what causes the most harm in a car accident.

My point actually, albeit a weak and glib one, was that drunks might be more likely to survive because they were loaded up on a muscle-relaxant/anesthetic.

Wow that's amazing. The article said he lost control. I wonder what happened. Oh, and the gas tanks on cars don't explode. Mythbusters busted that one.

Guy was lucky that the car spun to have the passenger side hit the column. It would have been messy if anyone was sitting on that side.

There was this guy driving at over 100 Mph near Dayton, Ohio that wrecked into a bridge. Somehow he lived. A cop had his dash cam going and the car goes right by him. It hits a guard rail, flies into the air, and explodes against an overpass support pillar. There was no fire like in a movie explosion.

WHOA!!!!!!!

The guy had been arrested and released for having alcohol and drugs in his car just an hour before this happened...

Unreal. Imagine the river of shit that police dept would be in had he killed someone in this accident?

Also, in that second article it says he was ejected from the car. That guy had someone looking out for him. He better take advantage of this second chance and fix his life up after this.

He should've died. Anyone driving at 100 miles an hour on a highway deserves to die.

I wonder if they've had to shut down the bridge to inspect the supports to ensure the bridge is still safe to drive in?

100 mph is fairly meaningless. There's nothing magic that happens when 3 figures are reached. That accident could have happened just as easily at 70.
